    CommonLook Accessibility Training helps users become familiar with:

  • Best practices when authoring documents, and
  • Ensuring that existing content complies with accessibility standards.

To help content authors and developers gain the know-how to meet accessibility requirements, we provide CommonLook Training in a number of areas.

Accessibility Course Descriptions:

General Courses:

GP-301: Understanding How the 508 Refresh Applies to PDF
This course will answer questions like:  What is Section 508, why is it important, and how do the changes in the 508 Refresh impact PDF accessibility?

CommonLook PDF:

GP-101: CommonLook PDF GlobalAccess – Basic Training
Training includes an introduction to Section 508, WCAG 2.0, PDF/UA, and HHS accessibility standards, working with simple tables, list, links, forms, verifying compliance, and more.

GP-201: CommonLook PDF GlobalAccess – Advanced Training
Training includes working with complex tables, tagging advanced forms, tables of contents, and more.  Required Prerequisites: GP-100, GP-101, OR GPC-101.

GP-MW: CommonLook PDF GlobalAccess – Mentor Workshop
Training includes advanced tips, tricks, and additional CommonLook functionality and features for document remediation.  Students are encouraged to bring their own documents for a more “real world” remediation experience!  Required Prerequisites: GP-201 OR GPC-201.

CommonLook PDF Certification Courses:

GPC-101: CommonLook PDF GlobalAccess Basic Training with Certification

GPC-BR: CommonLook PDF GlobalAccess Basic Certification Review
Training includes an accessibility review to prepare for the CommonLook PDF Basic Certification exam.

GPC-201: CommonLook PDF GlobalAccess Advanced Training with Certification 

Training includes working with complex tables, tagging advanced forms, table of contents, and more.  Upon successful completion, students earn their CommonLook PDF Advanced Remediation certification.  Required Prerequisite:  Passing the CommonLook PDF Basic Remediation certification exam (GPC-101 OR GPC-BR).

Training includes an accessibility review to prepare for the CommonLook PDF Advanced Certification exam.
